A renovation project in harmony with its environment

From the very first design intentions, this renovation was driven by a strong vision: to create a bright, fluid living space seamlessly integrated into its exceptional natural surroundings. Located just a few steps from the beaches and surrounded by lush vegetation, the villa draws inspiration from Mediterranean energy while embracing a modern and refined architectural language.

The renovation focused on both the existing structure and the interior volumes. Openings were redesigned to maximize natural light. Light-toned materials and natural textures were carefully selected for their ability to reflect light while creating a warm and soothing atmosphere.

Interior Architecture: A Balance Between Design and Functionality

The interior architecture of this villa in Cap d’Antibes reflects a subtle balance between aesthetics and comfort. Clean lines, premium materials, and soft color palettes come together to create a serene and contemporary atmosphere. The spaces were designed to encourage conviviality while preserving the residents’ privacy.

Every room was thoughtfully considered, from the selection of designer furniture and bespoke joinery finishes to the strategic placement of indirect lighting. The goal was to provide a living environment that is as comfortable as it is elegant. The living areas—including the lounge, open-plan kitchen, and dining room—are organized around a central space flooded with natural light. The bedrooms, meanwhile, emphasize intimate comfort with understated decorative elements and integrated storage solutions.

Bespoke Construction: A Villa Designed to Last

This project required extensive bespoke construction work, both for the restructuring of the existing building and the integration of new architectural elements. The challenge was to preserve the villa’s overall coherence while incorporating discreet and efficient extensions. The selection of durable materials, the focus on energy performance, and the integration of smart home technologies all reflect a contemporary vision of residential living.

The project also extended to the outdoor spaces, including the construction of natural wood terraces, the integration of an infinity pool, and landscape design inspired by the local flora. Together, these elements create a harmonious whole, perfectly integrated into its prestigious setting.

Space Planning: Fluidity as a Priority

One of the key strengths of this project lies in its intelligent spatial planning. The Living 71 team worked closely with the architects to redefine circulation paths, rethink volumes, and create a seamless flow throughout the home.

The interior layout is based on a clear hierarchy: the daytime living areas naturally extend outdoors through large floor-to-ceiling windows, while the private spaces are arranged to ensure peace and privacy. The kitchen was conceived as a place for sharing and gathering, opening onto the living area and featuring a sleek central island. Each bedroom enjoys direct access to either the garden or a private terrace, reinforcing the strong connection between indoor and outdoor living.

Decoration: Pure White Enhanced with Color Accents

The interior design reflects the essence of the project: purity, light, and vitality. The choice of white as the dominant color for walls and ceilings visually enlarges the spaces while highlighting decorative objects and materials. This immaculate white backdrop is subtly enhanced by colorful accents, including mustard linen cushions, contemporary artworks, and designer armchairs in deep blue or terracotta tones.

These touches bring rhythm and character to the décor without disrupting the overall harmony. Natural materials such as linen, light wood, polished concrete, and local stone contribute to the soft and authentic atmosphere. Every detail has been carefully considered to create an inspiring living environment that is both beautiful and functional.

A Family Holiday Home Designed for Togetherness

Above all, this villa is a family home—a place where people gather, entertain, and share simple moments together. This is why conviviality was at the heart of the design process: open living rooms, sun-drenched terraces, a functional kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms were all conceived to enhance the well-being of the occupants, in a spirit of year-round holiday living.

The architects successfully created a relaxed atmosphere that encourages comfort and social interaction while maintaining the elegance of the design. The house adapts to the needs of its owners while embodying a distinctly Mediterranean lifestyle.
